Todd Allen Herendeen Bio
Todd Allen Herendeen's goal every night as he walks on stage is for everyone to leave saying "that was the best show I've ever seen." That's exactly what we hear! His drive, along with his dynamic voice and excellent showmanship have gained him much success. He is so versatile, his show can be country, rock 'n' roll, Las Vegas style, with a lot of big showy songs and even Elvis style! (More details on that later!) This versatility has lead him to perform as the opening act for such rock 'n' roll legends as: Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, The Four Tops, The Platters, Leslie Gore, Danny and the Juniors, Freddie "Boom Boom" Cannon, Diamond Dave Somerville, and The Beach Boys. He recently worked with B.J. Thomas and The Drifters!
On the country realm Todd has worked with such artists as: Ricochet, Bill Anderson, Gene Watson, John Conlee, Jeannie Seely, Janie Fricke, Ricky Van Shelton, Andy Griggs, George "Goober" Lindsey, John Michael Montgomery, Lynn Anderson, The Warren Brothers, Diamond Rio, Neil McCoy, Buddy Jewell, and he even opened for Tim McGraw in New Orleans at Tipetina's in 2003 and got to sing with both he and Faith Hill! Most recently he added Chad Brock, Daryl Singletary, David Kersh, Rhett Akins, Trick Pony and Gretchen Wilson to his list as he performed at the Indian Summer Festival in Panama City Beach, FL.
Still on the country scene, Todd was a part of Legendsfest 2000 at Buck Lake Ranch in Angola, IN. He opened for such Grand Ole Opry legends as: "Little" Jimmy Dickens, Kitty Wells, Charlie Louvin, Jack Greene, Bobby and Johnny Wright, Jeanne Pruett, and Stonewall Jackson. The show's M.C. was Ralph Emery. On this day, Todd along with all these legends, was inducted into the Buck Lake Ranch Hall of Fame.
In 2001 Todd was invited to perform at the Silverton Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. He also performed at the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, NV. That same year Todd and the FTD Band recorded their first full length CD "From Union Ave., Memphis, TN" at Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. It has eleven songs, three of which Todd wrote himself.
In 2002 Todd recorded a brand new 10-song country CD in Nashville, TN. It is all original songs and has been presented to record labels. This same year Todd was asked to be the entertainment in the Tropical Garden Theatre at Gulf World Marine Park in Panama City Beach, FL. He has performed his successful “Viva Las Vegas Show” which includes country, rock ‘n’ roll and his Tribute to the King there for six summers now! He and the FTD Band have recorded two live CD’s from there.
It was said earlier that Todd's show includes a tribute to “The King”. He started out in the entertainment business strictly as an Elvis performer. He placed 4th in the Images of Elvis World Competition in 1997, held in Memphis, TN. In 1998 he finished 2nd in an Elvis competition conducted by Dick Clark's American Bandstand, in Columbus, OH. In May of 1999 Todd won a national Elvis contest, held in Cincinnati, OH and retired from competitions. His Tribute to the King is so outstanding that he still performs it. In fact he has worked with Elvis' original back up vocalists, The Jordanaires, eight times. Together they and Todd bring back a magical memory.
Most recently in 2005 Todd was named “Rotarian of the Year!” He is a member of the Rotary Club of Panama City Beach, FL. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,00 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries. Todd is so very honored to achieve this award for his “Service Above Self,” which is their motto. He is always willing to do whatever he can for the community and people in general. His invlovment and helping hand in the community have people using the phrase “Mr. Panama City Beach” for him! He uses his talent in very positive ways.
Todd's ability to entertain people shines in no matter what he does. His strive for excellence in his performances has made him one of the hardest working and most exciting entertainers in the world!
